BSF annual medical conference held

SHILLONG: The BSF held its annual medical conference at its campus in Shillong on Friday. The annual event was organised by the Frontier Headquarter (FTR HQ) and Composite Hospital (CH) Shillong.
Doctors from CH made a clinical presentation during the scientific session which was attended not only by BSF doctors, but also their counterparts from Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF, NEIGRIHMS and the civil medical set-up.
In a message, Health and Family Welfare Minister A L Hek said the state government acknowledges the good work done by the BSF and assured all help from the state medical authority for upgrading the healthcare services of the force, which they are extending in the border areas.
The BSF medical set-up has the distinction of being the one and only amongst Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to conduct medical seminar regularly at all its composite hospitals and FTR HQ and force level annual medical conference.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr H L Raskaran, Director (Medical), BSF.
Raskaran highlighted about the topics to be discussed during the conference and congratulated the team CH Shillong led by Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG (Med)/MS for organising the conference.
Kuldeep Saini, IG , FTR HQ welcomed the guests present there and highlighted the achievements of CH, especially the noble work done by them for the border population and its effect in gaining the confidence of border dwellers.
