Naban Sangma of Grenggandhi village of West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that following an online advertisement posted by M/s Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd., regarding installation of 4G Network, the complainant offered a plot of land to the company on lease at the rate of Rs. 15,000 per month. In this connection, the complainant deposited a sum of Rs. 12,560 on June 3 and another Rs. 37,500 on June 7, in the account of Maheshnath Pandit, as directed by the company. The complainant alleged that the company kept on asking him to deposit more money.

Theft
On June 27, police caught Krishna Thapa (31) along with one minor boy, while they were attempting to sell one LPG cylinder at Naspatighari, Jhalupara, Shillong, which they had reportedly stolen from Youth Hostel, Shillong.
Benny Syngkrem lodged a complaint that on June 26 around 4.30 pm, miscreants stole cigarettes valued around Rs. 4,330 from his shop at Nongkynrih, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
