WKH school felicitates meritorious students

NONGSTOIN: The Assembly of God Secondary School, Siejlieh of West Khasi Hills District on Friday felicitated seven meritorious students who passed the SSLC examination with flying colours.
Synjuklang Ryntathiang (Topper of the school), Steffy Mary Nongrum, Banteilang Syiemlieh, Bibilita Myrthong, Ibapynhun Mawlieh, Sunbakordor Shangdiar and Darisha Lyngdoh were felicitated.
The programmed was attended by Nongstoin MDC Gabriel Wahlang as chief guest, Headmaster and secretary of the school Managing Committee, Rev. Dr. M.S Nongrem, R. Lyngdoh member School Managing Committee and others.
Addressing in the programme, Wahlang lauded the effort of the school management committee and the teachers. “We could not think that the student coming from rural villages could secure best position in this SSLC examination and it has been a proud moment not only for the school or parents but for the District as a whole, said Wahlang.
Other speakers including Headmaster Nongrem, Sunjuklang Ryntathiang, R. Lyngdoh member MC, Arphul Kharbani among others. The chief guest along with the other guests distributed award to the students.
