Shillong: Meghalaya Retired College Teachers’ Association (MRCTA) expresses its deep concern over the current unrest and turn of events in respect of termination of services of a teacher in St. Edmund’s College. The association in a press statement said it supports the agitation launched by the teaching faculty of the college.
It appeals to the management of the college and the concerned department of the Government of Meghalaya to reinstate the concerned teacher in service and address the other issues brought forward by the teaching community for the overall interest of healthy academic environment in the state.
Participatory democratic processes and norms need to be followed in all spheres of administration and it should remain a learning experience for the emerging batches of students, it said.
