Arms recovered
Acting on inputs, police arrested one George Lyndem from Darjeeling Restaurant, Shillong, on July 13 around 10 am, and recovered one country-made revolver and three rounds of live ammunition from his possession.

Duped
Meena Rao of Gora Lane, MES, Spread Eagle Falls, lodged a complaint that she received an anonymous phone call, wherein the caller informed her that there is one parcel in her name from UK and that she needs to pay Rs. 45,000 for the parcel to be delivered to her address. The complainant paid the above amount in two occasions via net banking from SBI Laitumkhrah Branch.

Theft
Jesper Jessterfield Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on July 14 around 4 am, he, along with his friends, apprehended two persons Gobind Singh and Barius Lawai, while they were tampering/removing parts from his motorcycle which was parked at Demthring, with the intention to steal the parts.
On July 4 around 5.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole a mobile phone belonging to Bakul Darthida from his pharmacy at Laitumkhrah Main Road.
