SHILLONG: The president of Sohïong Block Congress Committee, Phrang Kharpan along with other executive members have resigned as members of the party committee and as members of Diengïei Circle Congress Committee.
They have tendered their resignation to general secretary of Sohiong Congress. Other than Kharpan, who was president since 2016, general secretary of Sohiong Youth Congress, Hambert Thangkhiew has also tendered his resignation to the president of Sohiong Youth Congress Committee.
”It is too early for us to confirm which party to join,” Kharpan said.
It is learnt that many Congress functionaries are making attempts to leave the Sohiong Congress party.
