Meghalaya’s Got Talent 4
Shillong: The President of Meghalaya’s Talent Search Organisation informed that it will organise Meghalaya’s Got Talent Season-4 this year in various stages, right from the audition stages at 11 different locations across the state to be followed by the main events. The audition rounds will be held in Jowai on August 6, Mairang on August 9, Thangsning on August 10, Pynursla on August 12, Nongpoh on August 13, Amlarem on August 17, Nongstoin on August 19, Shella on August 20, Sohra on August 22, Mawkyrwat on August 23, Khliehriat on August 24, Mawsynram on August 29, Bhoirymbong on August 31, Williamnagar on September 4, Ampati on September 6, Tura on September 7 and in Shillong on September 14. The Mega Audition-1 will be held on September 20 and mega audition-2 on September 21. The quarter final will be held on October 19 and semi final on November 2. The grand finale is set to be held on December 14. The platform will provide young individuals and groups to come forward in displaying their skills and talents of different forms. This season, the show will be telecasted in National TV Channel including local cable channels.

Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations
Shillong/Tura: With the ongoing celebrations of Kargil Vijay Diwas across the state, the Border Security Force (BSF) organised a five-km marathon in the border town of Dalu in West Garo Hills on Wednesday. A large number of civilians, particularly school students, competed with the officers and jawans. Moreover, a plantation drive in association with the Lions Club, Tura was also organised at BSF Campus, Dobasipara- II. Approximately, 200 fruit bearing and various other medicinal plants were planted in the BSF camp. Meanwhile, a drawing and painting competition was also held in border villages adjoining BSF BOP Barsora and Sanghat on Wednesday.
