JOWAI: Block-Level art and culture competition was held on Friday at Mookyniang, Community Hall, Khliehtyrshi, organised by the Thadlaskein C & RD Block Thadlaskein in collaboration with the District Art and Culture Society, West Jaintia Hills District .The winners of the solo Folk Song competition are Truthful Dkhar from Lissi Pearl Secondary School (first), Ichenam Phawa- Ialong Secondary School (second) and Sankidaroi Phawa from Modern Secondary School, Ialong (third).
In English Solo category Nuaichalin Gangmei from Lissi Pearl Secondary School bagged the first prize.
In Folk Song Group category, Nephinton Laloo Memorial Secondary School won the first prize.
The winnes of Indigenous Instru-mental competition was Mukh-la Raij Higher Secondary School, Mukhla.
Ialong Secondary School, Ialong bagged first in the Folk Dance Group competition.
