SHILLONG: The body of one 25-year-old Mahesh Rai was recovered in mysterious circumstances from Pynthorbah, Block IV, on Friday morning.
According to the police, Rai was suspected to have been murdered near his residence at Pynthorbah in the wee hours of Friday.
However, police said that the matter is under investigation to confirm the cause of death. They also informed that there were bruises all over his face. The body was taken to Shillong Civil Hospital for post mortem.
