Student score soars after review

Ambassa(Tripura): A student scored 71 in Mathematics in Madhyamik (Class 10) after Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) reviewed his paper in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai. Vishal Roy had appeared for TBSE conducted Class 10 examination from the local Harachandra Higher Secondary School in Manikbhander. Vishal’s teachers and school authorities had expected him to do well in the exams, but he ended up scoring 295 marks in total and just 27 in Maths. Vishal’s father Biswanath Roy runs a tea stall and mother Arati Roy is a housewife. Sure of an error and confident of his son, Vishal’s father applied for a review, which increased the student’s total marks to 339 and got him a first division. The incident has put a big question mark in the process of answer paper scrutiny of TBSE. (UNI)
