Hepatitis ‘B’ vaccination drive

SHILLONG: On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) has launched free Hepatitis Vaccination Campaign on Monday, to benefit around 500 outsourced cleaning and Group ‘D’ staff working in the hospital.
The campaign was launched by the Director of NEIGRIHMS D. M. Thappa by inoculating first vaccination dose to Larihun Lyngdoh Mawphlang. Medical Superintendent Noor Topno issued the vaccination cards to the beneficiaries.
The programme was organised by the Office of Medical Superintendent in collaboration with Sanitation section of the hospital. The drive will continue till Wednesday.
Chief Sanitation Officer expressed his gratitude to the director and Medical superintendent for making the vaccination drive possible.
