Man assaulted, car set ablaze
Claybirth Ch Marak of Raja A’pal village, North Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on July 30 around 10.30 pm, while he was proceeding from Mendipathar to Raja A’pal village in his Maruti Alto car (ML-05F-9185) and on reaching Dingok Bazar North Garo Hills, he stopped his car to relieve himself. Out of nowhere, five unidentified persons came out from the nearby jungle, assaulted him and fired one round at his car. However, the complainant managed to escape and fled for his life. Next morning when he came to the PO, he found that his car was set ablaze and destroyed.

ADC (Election), East Khasi Hills, MB Tongper lodged a complaint that on July 23, unknown miscreants stole the copper earthing of the generator belonging to the Election Branch, DC Office, Shillong.

Duped
Raghav Bajaj lodged a complaint that on July 21 around 6.34 pm, following a transaction for purchase of vehicle, an unidentified person instructed him to deposit a sum of Rs. 36,450. The complainant paid the amount through Paytm, but later realised that he had been cheated.
