Minister asked to extend aid to orphanages

SHILLONG: The president of the East Jaintia National Council (EJNC), central executive council, Sambormi Lyngdoh, on Monday informed that social welfare minister Kyrmen Shylla has been asked to examine the needs of orphanages in East Jaintia Hills.
He was speaking during a programme which aimed at extending support to an orphanage in Tuber Kmaishnong in East Jaintia Hills which caters to seven orphans.
The programme was organised by Seiñraij Tuber Women Wing in collaboration with EJNC Western Zone, EJNC central executive council and the West Jaintia National Council.
