Suspected contraband seized
On August 13, around 5 pm, while naka checking near Khliehriat PS, East Jaintia Hills, police recovered two soap boxes containing orange powder material, weighing 20.60 grams and two syringes, in a vehicle (AS-01L-1949) driven by Hubert Gatphoh along with Joydeep Dkhar, Abhished Biswas, Aman Singh and Taju Ali.

Bike stolen
On the night of August 9 and 10, miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-05Q-4091) belonging to Suraj Sunar from his residence at Riatsohkhlur, 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong.

Counterfeit
Vishal Mondal, authorised attorney, M/s North Face Apparel Corp., lodged a complaint that on August 9, while conducting inspection of manufacturing goods at Iewduh, he noticed that some persons/firms have been indulging in manufacturing and marketing counterfeit apparels under the brand name North Face.

Threatened
Mesinda Momin lodged a complaint that on August 13, around 9.30 pm, her ex-husband Sengwat S Sangma armed with a dao, went to her house at Awangga village, Rongjeng, East Garo Hills, attempted to hack her and also threatened her with dire consequences.

Burglary
Joshi Tuisum lodged a complaint that on August 14, between 10.30 am and 3.30 pm, miscreants broke into his residence at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah and stole a TV set and two mobile phones.

Cattle theft
On August 3, miscreants stole four heads of cattle valued around Rs. 2 lakh from the cowshed of Plycarpus Siangshai at Moolamanoh village, East Jaintia Hills District.

Fraud
Jashadhin Paul lodged a complaint that on August 13, circa 5 pm, he learnt that an unauthorised transaction of over Rs. 1000 took place from his Bank account.
