Suspected murders in Mawkyrwat

MAWKYRWAT: The body of one Bordingshai Jyrwa (34), a resident of Marshilong village, 3 km away from Mawkyrwat was found in a rented house in Mawkyrwat Market on Monday.
The police were informed at 2 pm by the authorities of the CHC Mawkyrwat about a body which was brought to the hospital who immediately rushed for investigation. The police informed that a lady, Aidashisha Shangdiar (24), of Photjaud village who claimed to be the fiancé of the victim, informed the police that the incident took place at her place in Mawkyrwat Market in which the victim, after getting drunk came home and beat her up, after which she became unconscious.
However, she claimed that after regaining consciousness she found that the victim had committed suicide by hanging himself and therefore she immediately cut down the rope and called for help, following which they took him to the CHC Mawkyrwat. However, a doctor from Mawkyrwat declared that the person was brought dead to the hospital.
Meanwhile, in connection with another murder case, one Balisha Lyngdoh of Marshilong village, wife of the victim, filed an FIR in Mawkyrwat Police Station against the suspected murder of her husband in Mawkyrwat. The police also informed that after observing all the formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites. They also informed that an investigation into the case is going on.
