Powerline upgradation demand

TURA: A delegation of the Association for Democracy Empowerment (ADE), Southern Zone, Baghmara, met Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Home Minister James K Sangma recently at Shillong and submitted a memorandum listing various demands.
Among others, the association demanded upgradation of the existing 33 KV power line to 133 KV and to address manpower shortages besides the appointment of a full-fledged Principal at Government Higher Secondary School, Baghmara. The setting up of the MeECL Division at Baghmara and a powerline from Nongal to Baghmara and Baghmara to Tura were also sought.
