Confession of murder
On August 28, Philliush Sangma lodged a complaint against Sengme Sangma and Eatmen Sangma, in connection with the murder of Killion Sangma, who went missing. Following this, the relatives of (L) Killion Sangma Stenath Sangma and two others, went to Dagal Chiwak village under Songsak PS (EGH) to enquire into the matter, during which, Sengme Sangma, the wife of Killion Sangma and Eatmen Sangma, reportedly confessed to their involvement in the murder of Killion Sangma.
Threatened
Kheinbhaki Talang of Barato village (WJH) lodged a complaint that her brother Thehbha Talang threatened her and her family members with dire consequences.
Assault
Basuklang Ryntathiang lodged a complaint that on August 24, Hepieid Kharumlong threatened the complainant, assaulted her and also pelted stones at her ‘kwai’ shop at Motphran. On August 25, while the complainant was heading towards Ganesh Das Hospital, the accused accosted her and assaulted her.
Drugs seized
On August 29, acting on a tip off about movement of a Maruti Wagon-R (ML-05N-0688) driven by one known drug peddler of Nartiang village Pynhoi Nongtdu at Mookyndur area (WJH), Police intercepted the vehicle on NH-44 at Mookyndur (WJH) and recovered heroin weighing 0.41 grams, Rs 2,090 and a mobile phone from his possession.
Brawell Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on August 30, around 2.30 pm, a suspected drug peddler Jop Siangshai was reportedly seen handing over a package to Admanstone Pyrbot and Centre Laloo, at Pampra Kukoi. Following this, the two were detained and during search, orange colored powder suspected to be drugs was recovered from their possession. Jop Siangshai managed to escape. However, he was later apprehended by the police from Sohkymphor village.
