SHILLONG: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU) Khonjoy regional unit has alleged that the headmaster of Munai Primary School, South West Khasi Hills, Kalosh D Sangma had fraudulently issued a false class III passed and age certificate to one Liton Malakar, who is a non-tribal from Silchar, Assam, president of the union W Sangma informed in a statement issued here.
The union further urged the education department to intervene in the matter and take legal action against the headmaster.
He further alleged that the headmaster has received money for faking the name in the certificates adding that Liton Ch Marak was, at no point of time, a student of the school but has been living in Munai in disguise under the protection of the headmaster.
“The illegal act is unbecoming of a head of institution where young children are being taught the virtue of honesty, obedience and discipline,” the president said.
