Fake challan
Erantis Sympli lodged a complaint that some trucks were illegally transporting ‘auctioned coal’ by using fake challans and that the complainant is the only authorised person to transport the ‘auctioned coal’ under Section 21(4A) of the MMDR Act, etc. Following this complaint, on September 13, around 12 pm, police detected a truck (AS-01-FC-4356) driven by Md. Joydar at Tuber Shohshrieh Police Check Gate (EJH) illegally transporting ‘auction coal’ by using fake challans.
One held
One Ganesh Debnath of Agartala, Tripura, was apprehended along with Rs 35 lakh while he was travelling in a night super bus from Agartala towards Guwahati via East Jaintia Hills. Later, he was handed over to Income Tax officials for further necessary action.
Yaba tablets seized
On September 13, around 5:30 am, police detected Md. Anjar while he was travelling in a night super bus (AS-01-LC-2694) at Khliehriat NH-6, East Jaintia Hills. During search, police recovered ‘Yaba Tablets’ (World is Yours) in fifty polythene bags weighing 860 grams.

Shandar Lyndem lodged a complaint that on September 13, around 5.33 pm, one Vikash Patel, army personnel, cheated the relative of the complainant with Rs 4,700.
Robbery
Rilangki Warjri lodged a complaint that on September 13, around 8.30 pm, three miscreants snatched a mobile phone and wallet containing EPIC and Office ID of the complainant near M/s Ajmera Marbles, GS Road.
Apollos Majaw of Umlyngka Pdengshnong, Upper Shillong lodged a complaint that on September 9, around 8.30 pm, miscreants knocked him down unconscious and reportedly took away Rs 4 lakh from his possession at Umlyngka, Upper Shillong.
Animal cruelty
Aparajeta De Purkayastha lodged a complaint that on September 13, a stray cat was run over by a vehicle near MUDA Parking Complex, Police Bazar. Later, when an animal activist, who was called to take the carcass for burial, found that the dead cat was beheaded, with chopped-off paws and the flesh was taken away purportedly to be sold for consumption purposes.
Assault
Okil Ray lodged a complaint that on September 13, around 5.30 pm, while he was cutting grass at Golf Links, six persons viz., Ranjan Ray, Raju Ray, Enardev Mahato, Uma Shankar Ray and two others, assaulted him and also attempted to drag him to a nearby jungle with an intention to kill him.
