Ymbon lauds activist

Jowai: PWD Building Minister C Ymbon lauded social activist and former General Secretary of the Joint Action Committee Jaintia Hills (JACJH), Phidalia Toi for her contribution in setting up Psiar Upper Primary School which celebrated its Silver jubilee celebration on Tuesday.
Toi, who is the founder of the school, said the school started as a lower primary school and was later upgraded to upper primary. The secondary school was also inaugurated with the laying of foundation stone on Tuesday.
Speaking as the chief guest, Ymbon lauded Toi and all other leaders of the then JACJH and also the people of the area for setting up the school 25 years ago.
On the occasion, students as well as the members of the villagers including the Sein Manbei – women association and the Sein Raij Psiar displayed their beautiful tradition dances.
