Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Friday asserted that youths of the NE region are highly talented and they should use the rich natural wealth and beauty found abundantly in the region.
Inaugurating the Manipur Start-Up Conclave, 2019 and launching the ‘MyGov Manipur’ here, the chief minister said that he was impressed by the youths of the region who propounded wonderful ideas and took up challenging initiatives.
For decades, due to insurgency, Manipur had gone through a difficult period when our imagination and innovative ideas were curtailed. However after the present government came to power, there is peace and a new chapter has been started in the state, he added.
He said under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, ‘Startup India’ was taken up to build a strong start-up eco-system for nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. The Manipur Start-Up will provide the enabling eco-system to support and nurture startups in the NE. (UNI)
