Ambassa: In yet another display of growing differences between BJP and its ally IPFT, BJP MLA cum state vice-president Rampada Jamatia alleged harassment by IPFT supporters. Interacting with the media at the BJP party office here on Friday, Jamatia alleged that he was stopped from entering an awareness seminar on projects and facilities of the Bamboo Mission in Ganganagar of the subdivision, a few days back. “It was only after my personal guards and police controlled the situation that I could enter the seminar,” he alleged. “After a while those goons again created pandemonium inside the community hall,” he further alleged and added that anything could have happened if his guards had not been present. After the incident, the minister lodged a complaint again ten IPFT supporters including Sanjoy Riang and Gouranga Riang at the Ganganagar police station. Jamatia also alleged inaction by the local BDO and the officer-in-charge of Ganganagar police station. “The leaders of IPFT must clarify how they can turn anti-government despite being a part of the government?” he said. “They cannot enjoy power and plot against the government at the same time. This cannot be tolerated,” he added. (UNI)
