SHILLONG: The 22nd All Shillong Dr. M.M. Das Memorial Inter-College and Higher Secondary School level debate competition was held at the Zenith Jubelieth Club, Laban recently.
Altogether 15 teams from all over Shillong took part in the competition on the topic “Reasonable restrictions should be imposed on the mainstream media.”
Army School emerged the champion while St. Anthony’s College and Pine Mount School bagged the first and second runner-up positions respectively. The club kicked off its year-long Golden Jubilee celebration on September 19.
It also organised a bridge competition on Sunday which was won by the Karmakar Four BC team. Zenith Jubelieth Club was the runner-up.
