SHILLONG: Mother of a missing person has urged the police to trace her son.
In a letter submitted to SP, East Khasi Hills, Sumi Roy said her son, Raja Roy, has been missing since September 8 from Laitumkhrah.
Besides informing the police station, she had submitted a written complaint to the OC of Laitumkhrah police station on September 16.
According to the mother, the investigation is slow though the police recovered his scooty from Gora Line on September 16.
Sumi, who is a resident of Nongmensong, expressed concern over the delay on the part of the police to act though she had given the names and other details of the suspects.
According to the mother, her son’s friends had threatened him that he will be killed and she suspects that they may be involved in the crime.
“I am running from pillar to post. Being a mother, I am in serious distress and his wife and children are also worried”, Sumi said.
