WILLIAMNAGAR : A one-day district level children’s science congress for urban schools centering on the theme ‘Science, technology and innovation for a clean, green and healthy nation’ was inaugurated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Planning Officer (DPO), L Ch Marak, at DRDA Hall in Williamnagar on Wednesday.
The programme was organised by the office of the District Planning Officer .
Marak highlighted the importance of science and mathematics for pursuing higher and technical studies and urged the urged students to be prepared to compete with others.
He also encouraged the students to develop an interest in science and to participate in such programmes.
It was also informed that one student from the senior and junior group will be selected to participate in the state level science congress to be held in Shillong on October 24 and 25.
