World Tourism Day celebrations in NEHU

SHILLONG: The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong is holding a series of events to celebrate World Tourism Day from September 26-28. A panel discussion was organised on Thursday to deliberate this year’s theme.
Tourism quiz, debate competition were also organised in which teams from different university departments and colleges took part.
The students also showcased the rich cultural tradition of the North East India through their cultural performances.
The students will be going for Eco Tourism Awareness-cum-Cleaning Drive at the Laitlum Canyons.
