Bus catches fire in EJH

SHILLONG: A night super bus was completely destroyed after catching fire near Ratacherra in East Jaintia Hills on Saturday evening, a delayed police report stated.
Police said that the bus (AS- 24- C- 2977) which was coming from Rangammati, Karimganj caught fire near Ratacherra ICP around 8:15pm.
The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit and no casualities or injury were reported.
All nine passengers, two drivers and two handymen were able to get off the bus in time.
The passengers later boarded different buses and proceeded to Guwahati.
