City school celebrates annual day

SHILLONG: Kendriya Vidyalaya Happy Valley celebrated its annual day with unprecedented fanfare at Soltee Hall on Monday. M Narendranath Sajan commandant 58 GTC was present as the chief guest along with Praseeta Sajan, chairperson, FWO 58 GTC as the guest of honour.
The students presented a number of cultural events which included dance, song and skit.
DK Deran, principal of the school, presented the annual report of the school while emphasising on the school’s achievements in academics and co-curricular arenas.
Moreover, a prize distribution ceremony was conducted to felicitate the toppers and other students who had brought laurels to the school.
The teachers were also honoured for the excellent work in their respective fields.
The chief guest, during his address, lauded the students and the principal for their effort in organising the celebration.
