No power yet bills served

SHILLONG: Inspite of no electricity supply, the residents of Char Magurmari village under Selsella MeECL Division were served BPL electricity bill by Feedback Energy Distribution Company Limited (FEDCO).
Informing this, Congress MLA from Rajabala Azad Zaman said that the incident shows complete negligence of the MeECL department.
“It seems several such beneficiaries also received the same kind of bill, I seek a thorough investigation into the entire matter from the government so that public should not get harass,” he said.
FEDCO is a private company tied with MeECL for maintenance and to collect electricity bills.
Zaman said that there is no electricity connection in the entire village of Char Magurmari and the bills are served to around 46 households.
