State to apprise Centre against denial of MHIS cards

SHILLONG: As the denial of MHIS cards in specialty hospitals in other states growing, the state health department has decided to lodge a formal complaint with the Union Health Ministry and Assam government.
Health Secretary Pravin Bakshi said after receiving complaints, the MHIS team recently took up the matter with the Centre and some cases were resolved in Narayana Heart Centre in Bengaluru and Nemcare in Assam.
