Music concert postponed to Nov 30

SHILLONG: The Mawngap Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited informed that the music concert, “Scaling heights part 2019” has been postponed to November 30 following the sudden demise of Archbishop Dominic Jala on October 10.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, assistant event manager, Wealthy Born Sun, said that the society has a unit called True Works Enterprise Music School that had planned to hold the music festival on October 19 to commemorate its 7 years of existence.
He said that the music concert aims to raise funds for the school’s musical instruments and the music school also plans to teach the traditional musical instruments but it could not be pursued due to limited finances.
Sun said that Snow White, Empirical Tribe, Banjo will perform at the music concert. The cost of the ticket is Rs 100 per head.
