One held for derogatory post

SHILLONG: Jowai Police have detained a person whose name as per his Facebook account is Rimialson Daw for allegedly making a derogatory post hurting the sentiments of the Catholic Church with particular reference to Archbishop Dominic Jala.
In a statement issued here, Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai, Lakador Syiem said a written complaint was filed in this regard on October 14 at the Jowai Police Station following which the person was located. Later, the person was detained and brought to Jowai Police Station for questioning and also sent for medical examination as his relatives have claimed that he is of unsound mind and under treatment.
