Major projects on despite pending bills: CM

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has informed that work on major projects has not stopped despite pending bills of the contractors.
Briefing the press, he admitted that there have been issues concerning contractors’ payments for a very long time as there are many bills which have been pending for several years. “Work has not stopped at all. We are ensuring that work is not affected and especially when it comes to central schemes and important infrastructural projects and to ensure that committed liabilities of the state are not affected.
