Kali Puja
The Laban Puja Committee (Vivekananda Memorial Club) VMC, Laban is celebrating 35 years of Kali Puja on October 27 and 28 at Laban Police Station premises. There will be various competitions including a cultural programme. On October 26, art competition at Laban Bengalee Girls HS School from 11 am. On October 27, fun games competition from 10:30 am at puja pandal and cultural programme from 6pm. On October 28, Aarati competition from 6 pm at puja pandal. On October 29, cultural programme (Orkestra) from 7 pm. The main puja will begin at 10 pm on October 27, prasad distribution on October 28 from 5 am and immersion on October 29 at 12 noon.

Intl seminar
The Zoology department, Lady Keane College, Shillong is organising a one-day international seminar on role of research on bio-diversity and conservation on October 24 at 10 am in the college auditorium. The general secretary of Meghalaya Adventurer’s Association, Brian D. Kharpran will be the chief guest.
Meeting
The Seng Nongjri will hold its 56th general meeting cum social meet on October 26 at Khasi National Durbar Hall, Mawkhar, Shillong at 1 pm. Award distribution will be given to students of Nongjri who secured the highest total marks in different examinations. People from Nongjri residing outside the Elaka of Nongjri are requested to attend.
