SHILLONG: Special programmes for underprivileged children were organised by SPARK, a social service organisation, on the occasion of Diwali at its centres in Anjali, Mawlynrei and Rangmen.
The children lighted the lamps as various games and other recreational activities were set up during the programme.
The team also taught the children to celebrate the occasion in an eco-friendly manner.
Moreover, food was provided to as many as 200 children .
The programme ended on a high note as members of SPARK urged the society to come forward and organise similar programmes for the underprivileged.
