SHILLONG: The residents of Kongthong have expressed surprise regarding the claim made by Sylloklang Majaw as the new Sordar of Raid Kongthong and the removal of Coming Home Pohnong as the headman by the executive committee.
In a statement issued here, the secretary of Raid Kongthong, Tral Singh Riahtam said when Pohnong found out that he was removed, he had convened a dorbar on September 30.
The Dorbar condemned the attitude of Majaw and decided to retain Pohnong as the headman of Kongthong.
Meanwhile, Riahtam said that for any matters relating to the village, people should approach Pohnong.
