Khasi folk music competition

SHILLONG: The Syngkhong Kyntiew Ri (SKR), St. Edmund’s College (SEC) Unit organised the Inter-College Khasi folk music competition at U Soso Tham Auditorium on Tuesday.
It witnessed participation of several colleges from different parts of the state, where Lady Keane College bagged the first prize in the song category and Shillong College won first prize in the instrumental category.
The competition was followed by a musical extravaganza featuring folk songs from Pynter, East Khasi Hills district. The SEC Unit of SKR also felicitated students who secured top positions in the university examinations.
