KSU detains 30 IAF labourers

SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Upper Shillong Circle, apprehended 30 outsiders working as labourers in the Indian Air Force (IAF), 7th Mile, Upper Shillong on Wednesday.
In a statement issued here, assistant general secretary, Daniel Kharbani stated that the union checked their papers and found that none of the outsiders possessed proper documents. However, some defence personnel intervened and attempted to take the labourers inside the IAF premises, which was met with stiff opposition from the union and was eventually informed to the concerned authorities.
The union informed that the police reached the spot and took the labourers away from the IAF premises and are preparing to deport them
