North Eastern Hill University will commemorate the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel by organising Run For Unity on October 31 at NEHU. It is open for all students, staff and faculty of NEHU. Participants have to assemble at Gate no 5 at 7am.

The Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills district informed that early marriage (Cohabitation) of children below 18 years old is punishable under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
