Foetus discarded in plastic bag

Shillong: The East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police has informed that an unknown foetus wrapped in cotton padding inside a red polythene bag was found near Umiew River on October 30 at 3:30pm.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Madanriting PS and an investigation has been launched into the matter.
Meanwhile, the foetus is being kept at the Shillong Civil Hospital Morgue.
