Liquor seized
In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the excise staff of East Khasi Hills conducted raids at various restaurants and stalls in September and confiscated 34 cases of liquor. The raids resulted in the seizure of 134.850 litres of i/d liquor and 56.090 litres IMFL. Around 27 individuals were also arrested under the Excise Act.
Birth anniv
The Mohammadia-Al-Hussainee Mosque Committee, Nongsohphoh, Barapathar point, has informed that Eid Milad Un Nadi or the birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad will be celebrated with Taqreer and Milad Sharif on November 10 at 8 pm inside the Masjid premises.
Entrance test
The entrance test for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing academic programme of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be conducted at 10am on November 9 at the IGNOU study centre located on the top floor of the KJP Synod Complex in Mawkhar.
