SHILLONG: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai inaugurated the newly constructed PWD road from the residence of Merdamon Nongkhlaw up to Nepali School, at (Mynsain) Upper Lumparing on Saturday. The Monitoring-cum-Implementation Committee in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing & Lumparing Welfare Society, organised the inauguration function of the newly-constructed PWD road. The road has been sanctioned under SPA PWD scheme 2017 for Rs 1,08,39,000 which is planned, initiated and recommended by Sanbor Shullai. In his address, Sanbor expressed gratefulness to the stakeholders including the Dorbar Shnong and land owners for being a part of the development for the area.
Others who were present included H. B Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong, Nani Gopal Dey, president of Lumparing Welfare Society, the principals of Lumparing Vidyapith Secondary School and Lumparing Nepali Secondary School besides the teachers and residents.
