Lanong amused by Syiem’s response

SHILLONG: UDP leader and nominated KHADC member Bindo Lanong said he was amused to know the reaction of KHADC chairman P N Syiem on his narration regarding the appointment and nomination provision of the Governor
“But I was shocked for his poor knowledge of legal and constitutional laws being the Council chairman and an ex- MLA, who always quote the rules and even in his reaction in the press, he asserted on my nomination, that I should be thankful to the governor for his kindness. I have and there is no harm to do it again, whenever necessary”, Lanong said.
Lanong advised the chairman to get himself acquainted with the legal and constitutional provisions with respect to the offices of the president and the governors, the honour and privileges conferred on them to perform their constitutional duties.
“ In the same manner, P N Syiem, the chairman and the CEM, after being elected by the House, were approved by the governor, I was also nominated by the government and approved by the governor to be precise and clear”, he said.
