Adhaar card
An official statement issued here has informed that taking of photographs for issuance of Aadhaar Cards has started at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Khliehriat and Block Offices of Khliehriat and Saipung during office hours. EPIC, certificates from MLA, government officers are required as proof if identity and residence.

Rice released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Jaintia Hills, Jowai has informed the AAY, PHH and Non-NFSA quota of rice for the month of  December has been released and is available from all Fair Price Shop.
Urs of Hazrat
The annual Urs of Hazrat Ghous-E-Azam R. A (Giyarwee Sharif) will be held on December 9 at the Masjid premises at 5 pm. The programme will begin with Quran Khwani and culminate with Milad Sharif and Duwa.

Dharna
Members of the Fair Price Shop Dealer’s association Shillong in its meeting held on Thursday, has decided to send its president Anwar Khan to New Delhi to join the Dharna, organised by All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation along with all the North Eastern States at Jantar Mantar on December 9.

Women’s wing Rilbong Sports and Cultural club is organising a food festival on December 8 at Rilbong Dharmasara Hall, from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Renewal
In an official statement issued here, all vendors are asked to renew their vending certificates on or before December 20 at the office of the Shillong Municipal Board during office hours on payment of renewal fees for the year 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 amounting to Rs 1000 at the rate of Rs 500 per year.
