The Dorbar Shnong Landkyrding Mihngi will hold a cleaning drive on December 12 at 8 am.
Debate
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority and the Legal Care and Support Centre, Department of Law, NEHU, held a state-level debate competition as part of Nani Palkhivala birth centenary celebration. The competition was held on the topic ‘India still needs continuation of reservation policy’. The event witnessed participants from Synod College, St Anthony’s College, English and Foreign Language University and Department of Law, NEHU. Noor Ain Khan, member secretary, Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Office bearers
MeECL Employees Staff Union on Saturday held a general conference followed by the first CEC general meeting where Wilford R. Marak was appointed as the new general secretary along with other office bearers. TM Sangma, while congratulating his successor, advised him to maintain relationships with the management while taking up grievances of the employees at all levels or negotiating with the management with various demands.
