Events rescheduled for Dimchrang 2019 festival

AMPATI: In view of the proposed 11-hour agitation called by NESO on Tuesday, the South West Garo Hills district administration has rescheduled the events for the district’s annual Dimchrang 2019 festival.
The festival was supposed to start with the Dimchrang Matgrik half Marathon on Tuesday at 6am but due to the 5 am-4 pm agitation called by the NESO, the district administration has rescheduled the events. As per the new arrangements, the Dimchrang 2019 festival will be inaugurated on Tuesday at 5 pm followed by a rock show from 6 pm onwards. The events that had been lined up for the day will be carried over to the next day (Wednesday).
The next day will start with the Dimchrang Matgrik 21-km marathon at 6 am from Ampati Mini Stadium followed by the 10-km marathon at 6:30 am. The industrial exhibition will be opened at 9:30 am followed by the VEC conference at 10:30 am.
Next, the indigenous games will start at 11:30 am at the indoor stadium field followed side by side by the healthy baby show and cooking competition at the mini stadium.
This will be then followed by the final match of Futsal at 12:30 pm near the indoor stadium.
The talent show will start at 1:30 pm at Ampati mini stadium followed by the rock show at 5 pm.
