SHILLONG: Nazareth Hospital, Shillong, on Friday concluded its year-long Diamond Jubilee celebration where Minister of Health & Family Welfare Alexander L Hek was the chief guest.
As part of the year-long celebration, the hospital conducted various events throughout the year such as health camps, blood donation camps, photography competitions, school quiz, inter-hospital competitions, cancer awareness programme and diabetic-screening camps.
The hospital also trained 616 school children and 481 lay persons in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the Department of Pediatrics.
The foundation stone for the new annex was laid down on Sunday by the Vicar General, Father John Madur. The completion of this structure is expected by the end of 2020. It will provide many new services to the people of the state.
