Nongstoin MLA releases funds, promises more development

NONGSTOIN: MLA/MDC of Mawshynrut Constituency, Gigur Myrthong, on Wednesday released one crore from MDC scheme where 40 villages benefitted from the scheme.
It was the second time this year that Myrthong released a scheme.
On May, he had release a scheme where 622 households benefitted and on Wednesday, he had again released his MDC scheme.
Myrthong, along with the leaders from NPP Mawshynrut Block, went to distribute the work orders in Malangkona area, Umsohpieng area, Nongtrai area and Riangdo area.
The work orders, amounting one crore, were released to the village durbars for construction and renovation of Community Hall, improvement of schools, construction of footbridge, SHGs and other developmental works in their respective villages.
A meeting was also held in different locations to distribute the work orders.
Speaking with the mediapersons, Myrthong expressed his pleasure in meeting all the beneficiaries, and said that he will continue to fulfil his promises for the development of the constituency.
Myrthong, who was accompanied by NPP supporters from Mawshynrut Block, headmen and others, also urged the beneficiaries not to misuse the funds.
