SHILLONG: The lone KHNAM MLA Adelbert Nongrum, who recently joined the MDA Government, said that he may withdraw from the alliance if the outcome of the meeting between the state government and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is not positive.
It may be mentioned that a delegation of the state government was supposed to meet the Union Home Minister with regard to the exemption of Meghalaya from the purview of the CAB.
Nongrum had recently termed NPP as a traitor after the party MP, Agatha Sangma supported the CAB.
When asked about the stand of other regional parties on the matter, the legislator said that the regional parties can decide on their own. Stating that Inner Liner Permit (ILP) should be uniformly implemented in all the Northeastern states, Nongrum slammed the BJP at the Centre saying that they approved ILP in Manipur only because it is a BJP ruled state.
