Murder attempt
Vinesha Jyrwa lodged a complaint that on December 15, around 11 am, her staff Deepika N Diwali assaulted the complainant and attempted to murder her at her shop in Police Bazar, Shillong.
Assault
Deepika Singh lodged a complaint that on December 15, Vinesha Jyrwa owed money to Deepika and her friend and also alleged that she assaulted the complainant and her friend at Police Bazar, Shillong.
Two arrested
On December 13, around 8.20 pm, police apprehended two persons, namely, Robertjune Lyngkhoi (19) and Willborn Wahlang (20), while they were on patrolling duty at Lower Jail Road, Shillong and recovered two catapults, marbles, mobile phones and one extended baton from their possession.
Extortion
Amit Jha lodged a complaint that on December 12, around 3.10 pm, a group of approximately 50 persons, went to his shop at AC Lane, Shillong and took cigarette and cash amounting to Rs. 16,000. Further, the same persons went to the shop of his father and took his mobile phone and cash Rs. 12,000.
Break-in
On December 11, around 2.30 pm, miscreants broke into the residence of Matsram Delite D Arengh at Goanang, Tura West Garo Hills and stole his laptop and one mobile phone with charger.
Fraud
James Monroe Pohsngap lodged a complaint that on December 11, around 1.57 pm, he received a phone call from Sriranjan Reddy, who introduced himself as a Manager of SBI Main Branch, Shillong and asked for his account details. Later, the complainant learnt that Rs 5,99,999 was fraudulently debited from his SBI savings account.
Tourist cab missing
Rajab Ali of Demseiniong, Shillong lodged a complaint that on December 6, unidentified persons hired his tourist taxi (ML-05Q-1067) driven by Bablu Dey for sightseeing to Sohra East Khasi Hills. However, the vehicle along with the driver went missing since then.
Laptop stolen
Bharat Kumar Singh, Junior Telecom Office, Department of NELSA, Shillong lodged a complaint that on July 23, he found that one laptop along with a bag was found missing from his office.
